Gitmo  Operations

I'm sure there are hundreds of stories out there about interesting experiences and I wish
more guys would share their memories with us. I remember one day in Gitmo when we
were operating with some tin can, probably challenging them to find us to help them pass
their ORI inspection. The way I remember it, we dove early in the day and headed straight
back to Gitmo. We were tied up and some of us were on base liberty before the tin can
gave up trying to find us. Tillis and I were at the outdoor bar on the point overlooking the
entrance to the harbor, drinking beer,  when the cans came back. It's no wonder those
guys hated us bubble heads so much, I understand they could not go home until they
passed their ORI, and we were no help.
